Although they have been around for over a hundred years, penny rounds are just beginning to make their way into spaces typically occupied by their popular hex counterparts. Penny rounds are what the name suggests: round circles the size of a penny, with a sizeable diameter between ¾ inch and 1 inch. These charming little rounds are adding an artistic and fresh element to bathrooms, kitchens, and backsplashes.

Our new interior line of penny rounds ranges from white to matte black, with striking additions in mixed copper and reflective steel gray. Offered in a variety of fun colors and styles, like mosaic patterns and solid colors, this design looks great in any space, whether new or old. Make your home look and feel more expensive without sacrificing the ability to add personality and flair to your space.

The versatility of these rounds makes them the perfect candidate for slippery surfaces or high-traffic areas, like the floor of a shower. Choose between porcelain, glass, marble, travertine, or metal for a finish unique to you. With an abundance of color options, and mix-and-match mosaics, create the space of your dreams with your wildest—or tamest—tile design.

These penny rounds have a reputation for creating beautiful, tiny designs, and being an excellent choice for accents. Consider a feature above the stovetop in the kitchen, or design subway tile shower walls with strips of colorful penny rounds for a touch of texture if a full wall or floor feels too overwhelming for your space.

Or create a clean look with a white-on-white design—white penny rounds with white grout. This palette creates a classy and elegant look, but still catches the eyes of guests for its fun design without overdoing it. Or border lightly-colored rounds like white, cream, and beige with darker grout to create a rustic look.

To stay true to the name, place reflective rounds in silver or copper –like a true penny!—underneath mirrored surfaces, or border a mirror to create a bright and expansive effect. The shine of the circles bounces light around the room, making the space feel light and airy.

But the most important thing when designing is to have fun! Spell out words, quotes, and sayings in the little round for an extra entertaining floor or wall (like the many captivating floors the instagram IHaveThisThingWithFloors captures and posts).
