The Ins & Outs of Your Inside Out

Get ready, get set – it’s time to pick your floor. When you have so many rooms and areas on one level in your house you might get overwhelmed with treating each room as an individual. Horizontal Surfaces may be one of the first things you think about picking for each room, you might get excited and want every room to have different floors, maybe tile in the kitchen, hardwood in the dining room, porcelain in the mud room, etc. Don’t forget that after your floor comes cabinets, paint, furniture, accessories and mainly your every day life things like games, toys, back packs!
You know the expression, “less is more” – well it applies here too; less seams, less busyness and less distraction. Consistency is key, allowing for one product to flow throughout will truly enhance your space. The best thing to do is to pick one product – now this can come in different sizes and even finishes such as brushed, polished, leather, antiqued – etc. and run it throughout the entire space. This allows for your rooms to flow as one, there is no divide or separation between spaces and this will open things up a tremendous amount.
